  I am a person who likes to go off the beaten path. When I'm in a new place visiting I don't like to go to the touristy trendy places. I want to go where the locals go. Skyview served this role. Located in a nondescript neighborhood, this place is totally unassuming from its throwback sign out front to the kitschy farmhouse inspired vintage decor. The waitstaff was composed of three generations and was quick and friendly.
  
  On to the food. Now I've had biscuits with gravy many times and had to try theirs. The are made fresh and the creamy goodness of the gravy was so pleasant and comforting--bravo! Bellisimo! I moved on to the Italian skillet breakfast which consisted of julienned Italian sausage sautéed with green peppers, onions, potato hash, cheddar cheese, and your choice of egg. Went for the scrambled. The meal was delicious and the portions were more than generous. It felt like a family place. A place to brunch and relax. And off the beaten path.

  We tried this breakfast place while in Tampa. I order breakfast burrito and my husband had a steak skillet plate. It all was very good and very reasonably priced. We'll be back next time in Tampa.

  Girlfriend had to take her car in for service this morning, so I picked her up and took her to breakfast while the car was being worked on. I turned to Yelp to find some good eats nearby... and Skyview was close and looked good.
  
  Was not very busy when we arrived, only one other patron. They did run a couple of large take orders while we were there, based on what we saw.
  
  Staff was great.... seated us immediately, very friendly and helpful... really good service!
  
  I ordered French toast with Sausage, and the girlfriend ordered the Western Omelette with Home Fries and a Biscuit (fries and biscuit for me.. since she is low carbing right now)
  
  French toast was good, very basic tasty french toast. I normally slather them in butter... but all they had was a butter spread which I didn't care for, so ate the toast with just syrup. Half a star deducted for the lack of REAL TASTY BUTTER!  The sausage was good, large 3 patty portion, and very tasty.
  
  Girlfriend say her Omelette was tasty, but  a bit dry (which was partly her fault, she forgot to order it with cheese!) Lots of peppers, ham and onions in it.
  
  Homefries... tasty! But I am picky about potatoes... they did not prep the taters very well, and did not cut all of the bad. black spots... that grossed me out, so I didn't finish them. Half a star deducted for that also.
  
  Biscuit... Huge Fluffy yumminess... that would have been awesome with some grape jelly and some real butter. I only ate half of it... but it was good.
  
  As mentioned above, our waitress was awesome! So giving four stars... would have been five except for the stuff mentioned above. Would have been a three star experience with an average waitress.

  This cute little diner has the BEST SERVICE hands down! Sky view Restaurant offers you an enormous amount of food at such a cheap price and their menu has something for everyone. I would definitely call this place a hidden gem! Their staff is so welcoming and they go out of their way to provide the best service. Our server even bundled our order a certain wag so that we were only paying for what we wanted and not overcharged! This place is absolutely underrated.

  I've had their breakfast delivered several times now and it's always delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast in bed!!!!!
